PROFESSIONAL PAINT CORRECTION
SERVICES IN THE CAPITAL REGION
Level 1 Paint Correction
TURNAROUND ~ 1-2 DAYS
A 1-step polish is a paint enhancement service that improves the gloss and clarity of your vehicle’s paint by removing light imperfections like swirl marks, haze, and minor scratches — all in a single machine polishing stage. It’s perfect for vehicles that don’t need heavy correction but still have noticeable paint defects that dull the finish.
Unlike more intensive multi-step paint correction (which uses separate cutting and polishing stages), a 1-step polish uses a carefully chosen pad and polish combo that both cuts and refines at the same time. This saves time and cost while still delivering a noticeable improvement in shine and smoothness.
It’s a great option for newer vehicles, well-maintained cars, or anyone looking to refresh their paint before applying protection like wax or ceramic coating.
Level 2 Paint Correction
TURNAROUND ~ 2-3 DAYS
A 2-step paint correction is a more advanced service designed to significantly improve the condition of your vehicle’s paint by removing deeper imperfections and refining the finish to a high-gloss, near-perfect appearance.
In the first step, we use a cutting compound with a more aggressive polishing pad to remove heavier defects like swirl marks, oxidation, water spots, and light scratches. This stage eliminates the majority of visible imperfections in the clear coat. In the second step, we follow up with a finer polish and softer pad to refine the surface, restore clarity, and enhance the depth and gloss of the paint.
This process is ideal for vehicles with moderate to heavy paint defects or for owners who want their car to look as close to flawless as possible before applying long-term protection like ceramic coating. A 2-step correction delivers a dramatic transformation and is a favorite among enthusiasts and clients preparing a car for sale, shows, or long-term care.
Level 3 Paint Correction
TURNAROUND ~ 2+ DAYS
A 3-step paint correction is the most intensive and thorough process available for restoring heavily damaged or severely neglected paint. It involves wet sanding, compounding (cutting), and polishing to remove deep defects and achieve a near-showroom finish.
The process begins with wet sanding, which uses ultra-fine sandpaper to level the clear coat and eliminate deep scratches, etched water spots, oxidation, or heavy paint texture (also known as orange peel). This step removes the most severe imperfections that compounding alone can't correct.
Next comes the cutting stage, where a machine polisher and aggressive compound are used to remove sanding marks and further refine the paint surface. This step restores much of the clarity and removes any haze left by sanding.
Finally, the polishing stage brings back high gloss and depth using a fine finishing polish and soft pad. This step refines the surface to a smooth, glass-like finish that’s ready for protection.
A 3-step correction is ideal for show cars, restoration projects, or anyone looking for the highest level of paint refinement possible. It’s a labor-intensive process that delivers dramatic, professional-grade results.
